More details from X-Laser (www.x-laser.com):

With seven generations of Skywriter models before it, the all-new Skywriter HPX from X-Laser USA takes its place in the middle of X-Laser’s diverse lineup ready to outshine the competition. X-Laser engineered the Skywriter HPX to seamlessly transition from creating high-impact aerial beams at one event to projecting crisp, vivid graphics at the next.

X-Laser USA is expanding its Skywriter line with the new Skywriter HPX. “The HPX impresses because it’s versatile and powerful, but also has a raw power about 60 percent greater than its “high-power” predecessor, the Skywriter Chroma Mini HP,” said X-Laser President Dan Goldsmith. “This is our take on the laser equivalent of a multitool, and the HPX has the perfect pedigree for rentals, installations and even light touring.”

New for the Skywriter HPX is a completely sealed optical deck that dramatically reduces maintenance intervals to help save users time and money on laser maintenance. The HPX’s smart diode technology allows color sources to modulate 30,000 times per second to create crisp color effects that complement any venue. To eliminate the need for splitters or potentially dangerous “Y” cables, the HPX can produce perfectly symmetrical shows with its unit-mounted controls.

The Skywriter HPX offers 30K PPS precise graphics scanners, and 1,000-plus color technology that can render whites of different color temperatures, ranging from dusky, red-heavy white to bright, blue-heavy white. For safety and laser show creativity, the HPX offers total control via 24-channel DMX and new, X-Laser Defiant-style ILDA I/O connectivity to make control simple even in fast setups like rental applications.

The Skywriter HPX debuts at $2,999 and will begin shipping in late September 2015. The HPX will make its trade show debut at Live Design International (LDI) 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 23-25, 2015, at the X-Laser booth No. 117.
