SAN DIEGO, CA – One of the many memorable features of Comic-Con 2015 at the San Diego Convention Center July 9-12, 2015, was the return of the Full Dome Meatwad Experience presented by Adult Swim. DPS Inc. created the projection mapping within a 360-degree projection dome styled as the Meatwad character from the animated series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

More details from DPS Inc. (www.dpsinc.com):

On the green, nestled behind the San Diego Convention Center along along the Pacific Ocean, Adult Swim presented the Full Dome Meatwad Experience. From July 9-12, Comic-Con attendees were treated to a free wild and crazy psychedelic experience. Their guide on this immersive journey is hosted by everyone’s favorite fast food friend from the hit show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

For the experience, DPS worked closely with the Adult Swim design team to bring their concept to life. To create the illusion, DPS supplied the Adult Swim Experience with six Barco HDX DLP projectors and d3 Technologies’ media server system, seamlessly working together to bring the projection mapping effects to the screen.

Sixteen Color Kinetics Colorblast and two Cinceo HS Lights provided illumination within the dome. To complete the illusion, DPS built the 5.1 surround sound system inside the dome. DPS used four Meyer Sound UPA-1P, 2 Meyer Sound UPJ-1P, 2 Meyer Sound 600 HP subwoofers and a Meyer Sound SIM 3 Analyzer (system tuning/calibration hardware).
