GOA, India – Visualization pioneer Barco hosted its Entertainment & Corporate partner event in India on 25 and 26 June. Over seventy business partners gathered in Goa to get a bird’s eye view of the latest developments in entertainment and corporate visualization.

For once, the Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach traded its holiday atmosphere for one of hi-tech visualization and industry-leading projection. Throughout an action-packed two-day event, Barco offered its local business partners a series of workshops and hands-on product demos.
“Staying abreast in a fast-evolving industry is not always easy”, says Mandar Gupte, Barco E&C Sales Director. “Hence we took this opportunity to give our business partners a comprehensive overview of recent trends and new product launches.”
Pioneering visualization on display
Sparing no pains, Barco along with High End Systems turned the venue into a blank canvas onto which several of its newest solutions could shine. An impressive lighting set-up immersed the conference room in a fitting ambience. Local business partner Star Dimensions India Pvt Ltd helped create the lighting installation provided the necessary equipment as well as onsite support during the event.
Barco’s onboard partner and national distributor for Corporate AV projectors, Green Sources Pvt Ltd was the major force to make the event successful. They actively supported Barco in inviting the partners from all over the country. GSPL engineers helped Barco during the installation of the complete set-up.
Barco national distributor CEECO Technologies also came forward to support Barco with demo ClickShare units, installations and on-site support.
Participants were greeted with an advanced 3D projection mapping display featuring Barco’s PJWU-101B – the brightest single-chip DLP projector on the market. The content for this projection mapping was developed by Montie Paul (W Productions). Another definite eye-catcher was the HDX-W18 FLEX 3-chip DLP projector that was used to relay all presentations to the venue’s main screen.
Fully integrated solutions
Following the opening address by Lutz Nerhoff, Managing Director at Barco India, the afternoon of 25 June was filled with presentations on the various Barco product ranges. Participants got comprehensive introductions to several of Barco’s industry-leading solutions, including its corporate projectors, collaboration tools and venues and hospitality portfolio. Day One was concluded with a lively panel discussion on the key challenges the entertainment and corporate visualization industries currently face.
T2 Technology Consulting, particularly enjoyed how the E&C event offered a global overview: “Getting to know the full depth of Barco’s product offering opens up new opportunities for us to offer our customers fully integrated AV solutions.”

Interactive initiations
The second day of the meeting put the participants in control as they were offered a choice of hands-on product demos. For example, they experienced at first hand how the PFWX-51B projector, complete with the ClickShare Inside option, fosters collaboration in any meeting-room setting. Other sessions focused on the KVD near-seamless LCD video walls, showcased the wonders of advanced projection mapping and let several enthusiasts discover how to create the perfect mood in a venue with Barco lighting solutions and its versatile consoles.

Cross-section of the Indian E&C industry
Despite being the first event of its kind organized by Barco in India, the E&C partner meeting drew quite a crowd.
Attracting considerable media attention, the event also served as the perfect backdrop for an in-depth interview with Nalin Advani, Barco’s VP Sales E&C for the APAC region, which will feature in the upcoming issue of System Integration Asia’s print magazine.
