SUNRISE, FL – TRUSST announced its new CTC-50SC model swivel coupler clamp for heavy-duty loads.

More details from TRUSST (www.trusst.com):

When it comes to rigging stage lighting and trussing, the installer’s load just got lighter. TRUSST has introduced a new swivel coupler clamp, model CTC-50SC, that is rated to handle heavy-duty loads up to 1,650 pounds (750 kg), while providing the ultimate in flexibility, safety and easy installation.

Designed to connect two sections of 2 inch (50 mm) truss or piping, the CTC-50SC features captive T-handles that make installation quick and easy.  With a T-handle, the clamp can be tightened much faster because it is more ergonomically friendly to the hand than the typical nut used on most swivel couplers – thereby shaving time off the rigging process.  Another convenient feature on the CTC-50SC is that the end of the bolt is flared so that the T-handle and washer cannot spin all the way off and become lost.

The CTC-50SC coupler features a 360° wraparound design that completely encircles the truss, providing extra stability and security.  An added advantage of this design is that it won’t cause any scratching or damage to truss surfaces, extending the life of the truss.

Made of rugged extruded aluminum, the CTC-50SC is built for long-lasting reliability.  It is TÜV approved for safe, worry-free installation in any application.

“TRUSST is constantly working to improve on the rigging accessories that are out there, and the CTC-50SC is an excellent example,” said Kenny Miller, Product Manager for TRUSST. “This swivel coupler offers features that will make users’ lives easier, such as ergonomic T-handles and a 1,650-pound load rating, which is substantially higher than the 1,100-pound rating found on most comparable clamps. It’s also very versatile and ideal for a wide range of applications.”

The CTC-50SC is designed to fit TRUSST’s CT290 Truss Series and other major brands of truss with 2 inch (50 mm) main chords as well as 2” steel or aluminum pipes.  The clamp weighs 2.8 pounds (1.3 kg) and has dimensions of 11.5 x 1.9 x 4.5 inches (292 x 50 x 114 mm).
