CineGear Expo to Present ARRI with Lifetime Technical Achievement Award

LOS ANGELESARRI will be honored for its role in advancing the art and craft of filmmaking with the Cine Gear Expo 2015 Lifetime Technical Achievement Award on June 5 in a ceremony at Paramount Studios Hollywood.

The distinction recognizes ARRI’s dedication to advancing motion picture technology over its 98-year history. ARRI Inc. President and CEO Glenn Kennel will accept the award. 

Says Karl Kresser, President of Cine Gear Expo: “ARRI has been and continues to be a technological leader from the first 16mm and 35mm film cameras to today’s latest digital offerings to lighting equipment and on to post production. The products have been successfully introduced and accepted in virtually every market around the globe. ARRI continues to invest and search for new trends and attract talented team members to stay in the forefront of this industry. We decided to honor this fantastic achievement.”

ARRI will showcase new products during the Cine Gear Expo LA exhibition, held June 5 and 6. Gear on display will include the ALEXA 65, ALEXA Mini and AMIRA cameras, ARRI SkyPanel and L-Series LED fixtures, Pro Camera Accessories, Master Anamorphic and Ultra Wide Zoom lenses and more.

LED Technology: Unlocking Creativity

Mike Wagner, ARRI’s Senior Product Manager, will explore some of the concepts, ideas, and techniques in using LEDs to light in ways never before possible with conventional fixtures

Saturday, June 6th 11:45am-12:45pm

SkyPanel: Soft Lighting I Redefined 

DP Cory Geryak will delve into details about working with SkyPanels on the first shoot with the new soft lights.

Camera Mobility

DP Joe Kessler will discuss shooting the third season of IFC’s MARON on AMIRA.

Directors Danielle Krieger and Casey Warren of MINDCASTLE will talk about their work on The JOURNEY – the very first ALEXA Mini production.
