LONDON – XL Video UK has announced a major investment in new Barco projectors and lenses, as well as a large investment in video distribution equipment from Lightware. Both agreements support the company’s commitment to regularly update their inventory with the latest video gear.
More details from XL Video (www.xlvideo.com):
XL Video has invested £1.2 million in 30 of Barco’s HDX-W14 projectors, including a quantity of their TLD+ Ultra Short Throw lenses. XL has selected the HDX-W14 units as they offer outstanding image quality and flexible light output.
The projectors feature a modular construction and common modules for these units can be shared with XL’s existing fleet of HDF-W26 and HDQ-2K40 projectors.
The TLD+ Ultra Short Throw lenses are an excellent addition to XL Video’s inventory and allow their Barco projectors to be used in venues and locations where space is at a premium.
XL Video UK Managing Director, Lee Spencer, commented: “We are pleased to expand our inventory of Barco projectors and lenses. Our existing fleet has proven highly reliable and so these mid-range 14k units are an excellent addition.”
XL Video has also invested £250,000 in a range of new DVI Matrices and Modex DVI Fibre Transmitters from Lightware Visual Engineering. This best-in-class distribution equipment is 4K compatible and the 25 Gigabit backbone provides scalability to support future video technology developments.
XL Video Operations Director, John Hooker, commented: “The investment with Lightware is key for us. Whilst these units often go unseen at shows, they are the “glue” that holds things together. We choose Lightware products as they are very high quality and exceedingly reliable.”
