More details from Bandit Lites (www.banditlites.com): Everyone knows that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but some things are too good to keep a secret. Specifically, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards, where champion Kevin Harvick was honored for his incredible win. With lighting provided by Bandit Lites and hosted by comedian Jay Mohr, the televised event featured performances by soul/R&B star Aloe Blacc , country super group Lady Antebellum, and the talent sister duo Lennon and Maisy from ABC’s hit TV show, Nashville.

“The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards present the opportunity to spotlight the biggest names in NASCAR, and we are thrilled to augment that star power with some of the most popular personalities in the entertainment industry,” said Zane Stoddard, NASCAR vice president of entertainment marketing and content development.

In addition to celebrating Harvick’s win, The NASCAR AMERICA group handed out its own end-of-season awards as well, including: Best Driver Not To Win The Title, Best Under-The-Radar Season, Biggest Surprise of the Season, and Best Social Media Moment.

Bandit Lites has provided the lighting for the award show for many years, an honor that does not go without notice.

“Each year we look forward to this very prestigious event, and we truly appreciate Jon Kallas allowing us to be a part of the NASCAR/Communicore production team,” said Brent Barrett, Bandit’s business development officer.

The lighting design by Jason Robinson and set design by Tom Sellars included more than 750 Versa Tubes set to display the chosen driver’s car color, VL 3500 Washes to treat the audience who would be visible on television, Mac Viper Profiles for visual aesthetics and eye candy, Color Kinetics Color Blast 12, VL 500 Tungsten Washes to light both presenters and performers, Martin Atomic 3000 strobes for pizzazz, GLP Impressions to color the set design and GRNLite Par 64s.

Bandit’s crew consisted of Steve Hoover, crew chief Andy Knighton, Julie Cox, Carter Harris, Andrew Heid, Jon Houle, Ty Veneziano, Patrick Cowden and Patrick Sieg. Additional support came from Bandit’s project manager, Shawn Lear.
