NEW YORK, NY – An estimated crowd of more than 400,000 converged in New York City for the People’s Climate March, just a few days before the United Nations’ Climate Summit. Upstage Video partnered with event organizers to be the sole provider of Mobile LED screens and live camera production for the massive march.

More details from Upstage Video (www.upstagevideo.com):

In Columbus Circle, the starting point of Sunday’s march, Upstage Video placed one of two 11’x18’ Color Specific 8mm, low-profile LED Screens as well as a full production trailer which would be the hub for all video signal being sent across the city to a series of satellite trucks placed by each screen. Additional screens along the route included a second 11’x18’ CS8 screen, the newly re-built 8’x13’ B8x 8mm screen, and a 9’x16’ Daktronics PST-12HD Mobile screen truck placed at the Javits Center, where the march concluded.

“Three weeks before the People’s Climate March, I was asked by the organizers to produce live video to mobile LED screens positioned along the march route,” says Production Manager Tal Yarden.  “I’m deeply grateful to Geza [Divenyi] and the amazing team from Upstage Video for making this possible.  Not only were they incredibly flexible as new demands kept coming in, they were also thoughtful, reassuring and didn’t hesitate to take my after hours calls.”

Upstage Video Vice President Geza Divenyi adds, “We were thrilled to be a part of this event!  It’s always a bit challenging when there are multiple elements to manage in a brief window but Tal did a great job in transferring the client’s vision for the rally into a clear and executable production.”  Divenyi continues, “people often associate Upstage Video with our large inventory of Mobile LED screens, but we also have a top-notch video production team who successfully met the challenges presented by this large-scale event.”
