NASHVILLE, TN — Embarking on his 25th year of being in the music business, Alan Jackson recently took to his 2014 tour, taking PixelFLEX with him for the first time. Over the course of more than 40 tour dates this year, Jackson plays for a variety of venues and audiences across North America. In order to keep the standard of emotional and relatable shows, the PixelFLEX FLEXCurtain was added to the production in order to make the entire process more flexible.

More details from PixelFLEX (www.pixelflexled.com):

Nathan Baugh, Jackson’s tour and production manager, chose the flexible LED curtain because of its unique benefits that cannot be found anywhere else on the market. And because Jackson spends time on the west coast and in Canada, those benefits allowed Baugh to be more efficient.

“With trucks and fuel being a massive cost, the FLEXCurtain has presented itself as an incredible advantage compared to the standard, rigid LED walls,” Baugh said. “ It has also allowed us to be a lot more flexible with weight as our LED truss only weighs 1200 lbs. We get to be a lot more flexible in the types of venues we choose.”

PixelFLEX’s LED curtains are also easy to operate and set up — videos and images can be sent to the screen using any computer with a DVI-D connection. Flexible in all directions, the FLEXCurtain is able to bend and shape around structures for a more creative display effect and can be stored in a single road case to simplify shipping logistics. The LEDscreens have been utilized in a variety of applications, including concerts, events, trade shows, arenas, theaters, universities, advertising and much more.

“PixelFLEX is honored to make certain production possibilities come to life for Alan Jackson,” said David Venus, PixelFLEX’s director of marketing. “His career and fan-base has incredibly deep roots, and to be a part of his team is very meaningful to us.”
