LONDON – For 10 years Sky Sports has been sponsoring young people in schools by providing mentors from the top people in sport. This year Sky mounted an awards ceremony to mark their achievements. LD Iain Davidson used four groups of Clay Paky Alpha Beam 700s for the ‘big beams’ and a couple of Clay Paky Sharpys, all from Richard Martin Lighting. With a tight turnaround, Davidson and his crew worked through the night to get the rig in place, keeping the design uncomplicated but dramatic enough to give a sense of occasion for the participants.
