FLORENCE, Italy — For a theatrical touring production of Nascosto Dove c’e piu Luce (Hidden Where There Is More Light) featuring Italian actor/comedian Gioele Dix, set and lighting designers Francesca Pedrotti and Carlo Signorini chose Quadro L16 fixtures from RED Lighting as an integral part of the production’s abstract design.
More details from RED Lighting (www.red-lighting.com):
It’s so effective for both performance and design as to be on stage as a protagonist. In the abstract set Francesca Pedrotti created for the last theatre show of Gioele Dix now on tour in the main Italian theatres, entitled Nascosto dove c’e piu luce [Hidden where there is more light], QUADRO L16 is a relevant presence, that does not limit itself to lighting the stage, but becomes an integral part of it thanks to the polished design by Carlo Signorini. Sharp strokes of light strongly characterize the strange place of dreams where the comic actor wakes up being received by an ethereal guardian angel, then realizing that the “external memory” of its whole existence is there collected.
The initial demand of the production included six bar elements with an essential aesthetics. Octavius Corporation, specialized in supplying technical equipment and stage materials for the entertainment field, suggested to Carlo Signorini QUADRO L16, a linear fixture with 16 high power LEDs 5W each with sophisticated RGB technology. What convinced first Carlo Signorini and now the whole Italian audience was the extraordinary homogeneity of the luminous effect and the perfect mix of colors, capable of changing dress to the stage without any other particular expedient. The small size and the extremely reduced weight of QUADRO L16 – these are pluses that distinguish all RED Lighting products – have been very appreciated as well. Finally, the excellent quality-price ratio has to be mentioned, that also allowed to increase to nine the number of elements used in the different tour dates.
