Stage Electrics Appoints New Service Manager

LONDON – Stage Electrics has appointed Jon Smith as the company’s new service manager. Smith, who has more than 30 years of engineering and managerial experience, takes over Steve Chappell’s position. Chappell is now in a new role as Commissioning and Design Engineer, responsible for lighting control system design and programming.

LONDON – Stage Electrics has appointed Jon Smith as the company’s new service manager. Smith is taking over from Steve Chappell, who held the position for more than 10 years. Chappell is moving into the newly created role of a full time Commissioning and Design Engineer, responsible for lighting control system design and programming. This new challenge is a reflection of the company’s busy order book requiring a dedicated full time position.

Smith takes responsibility for the company’s field service engineers and maintenance workshop, planning and directing the activities of all service engineers. He is a highly experienced engineer, with more than 30 years of experience managing multidiscipline teams in specialist engineering environments for the Royal Air Force.
