OOSTENDE, Belgium – XL Video, a global provider of video equipment and services, has announced a substantial investment in new Barco high-brightness projectors.
The purchase includes 66 new projectors – 44 x HDF-W26s and 22 x HDQ-2K40s – the latest models from Belgium-based Barco.
This is part of a continuing commitment to supply the latest video technology to its customers, and reinforces XL Video’s ongoing plan for growth and expansion across all its markets.
Projection continues to be a growth area for XL Video with Barco’s HD-20 devices used for high-profile projects such as Roger Waters’ ‘The Wall’ Tour and the Buckingham Palace projections for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert.
Shows of this caliber have resulted in a renewed interest in large-scale projections, and these new units will enable XL Video to satisfy that demand to the highest standards. The new HDF-W26 projectors have already been added to XL’s equipment catalog and will replace the older 20K projectors over time.
The new Barco HDQ-2K40 projectors, which offer a 40,000 ANSI lumens output, will be delivered by Barco later in 2012. This 3D-ready projector features cutting-edge technology and ensures XL Video can continue to provide the most innovative solutions to its customer base worldwide.
“We are excited to take delivery of these new projectors from Barco,” says Rene deKeyzer, CEO of XL Video.
“Our customers have shown increased interest in high-level projection in recent months. To satisfy that demand and maintain our position at the forefront of this specialist technology, we naturally chose to co-operate with Belgium-based Barco, market leaders in high-definition projectors. Our work with Barco’s existing products has been highly-acclaimed and we are confident this will continue with the purchase of these new models.”
