PENDLETON, IN – For his most recent event, producer Declan Weir has turned once again to Reel Video Systems LLC to provide video gear and technicians.  The TD Wow! events, held at various locations throughout the country, were TD Bank’s way of thanking their employees for a successful year.  The 8 city tour required “a mountain” of video equipment, explained Andy Gerber, displays manager at Reel Video.

Reel Video provided two virtually identical live video rigs capable of handling up to a four-camera shoot.  All video elements were displayed on a custom configured 6-meter wide roll up LED wall, a Reel Video exclusive.  Primary video engineer Cory Hack managed the video rigs during the tour.  Satellite site engineer Jeremy Fliss took care of the secondary rig when the show broadcast to an off site location.  A second 5-meter roll up LED wall was used at one off-site event, while another location required the use of HD projection because of low trim heights in the room.

The LED wall featured 480 of the Lighthouse VideoBlades 12 panels, creating a custom aspect ratio screen surface longer than it was wide.

“Unique LED configurations are the new normal in the industry, and we are constantly looking for new ways to use our rolling wall system to exceed our clients’ design parameters,” said Gerber. He added that the walls actually rolled up to change shape during the event to accommodate regular 16:9 IMAG.

“We are fortunate to have the opportunity to combine a great inventory of top-shelf equipment with some of the most experienced engineers and technicians in the industry.  The result is an ability to design and provide flexible turn-key video systems that our clients know they can trust,” Gerber said.
