NEW CASTLE, DE – Pete’s Big TVs is providing LED screens, HD cameras and video crew for Donny & Marie Osmond’s touring Christmas Shows in Detroit and now in Chicago through Dec. 24. The Broadway-style revue, under Show Director Michael Barnard, features a mix of holiday songs, Broadway show tunes and career hits. The scenic elements include the LED screens which serve as the backdrop to display a family album of photos and filmed career highlights throughout the show.

NEW CASTLE, DE – Pete’s Big TVs is providing LED screens, HD cameras and video crew for Donny & Marie Osmond’s touring Christmas Shows. The brother-sister duo performed at Detroit’s Fox Theatre Nov 29-Dec. 4 and are now in Chicago Dec.6- 24 at the Ford Oriental Theatre.
The Osmond duo rehearsed their Christmas show while performing in their long-running show at The Flamingo in Las Vegas. The set is a scaled down version of that show, designed by LD Peter Morse along with set and video design from Butch Allen. Lighting Director Joseph Eddy, who directs the Flamingo shows for Morse, is out on this tour.
The two-hour Broadway-style revue, under Show Director Michael Barnard, features a mix of holiday songs, Broadway show tunes and career hits. Pete’s Big TVs is supplying the three LED screens which serve as the backdrop to display a family album of photos and filmed career highlights throughout the show.
The two screens stage left and right measure 9’x9’ and the center screen is 16’x9’. All the screens are comprised of DigiLED MC7 panels, each one-half meter square.
Project Manager Guy Benjamin of Pete’s Big TVs said, “We custom designed and manufactured the new DigiLED MC7 panels for no radio frequency (RF) interference, which is becoming an issue lately. They’re lighter in weight than other screens out there and have a transparency to them as well.”
The screens are being fed by a Ross Vision HD production switcher, three Sony HDC1500 cameras and two robotic cameras. There is some packaged video content that is played from AJA Ki Pro units. Pete’s Big TVs crew are Jody Lane and Paul Whitfield.
Benjamin said, “We worked for the first time with Donny & Marie earlier this year for their Toronto shows, and we are enjoying working with them again on their special holiday tour.”
