I. Weiss' Viawinch, which recently joined the company's Via line of motorized rigging products, is positioned as a solution in between a manual hand crank and a high-end hoist. The Viawinch is a single line point hoist that offers a travel of 40 feet in about a minute, with soft start and stop helping to guarantee controlled movement of lighting instruments and other mounted devices.
With its compact size and weight, it is specifically constructed to be used in various orientations including a deck winch, a clew-winch or a grid-mounted point hoist.
While utilizing a three phase brake motor with a high gearing ratio for extreme safety, the winch only requires single phase 120 volt 20 amps input power.
The ViaWinch's payload ranges from 800 to 1,000 lbs., depending on the model.
