ETC's iRFR Preview, a companion to ETC's standard iRFR application, is available for free download from the Apple iTunes store. The iRFR Preview allows users to monitor active cue playback by connecting to an Eos, Ion or Element lighting control console from your iPhone, iPad or iPod. The iRFR Preview provides playback monitoring only, without control or playback functions. This app is created for designers during previews, so there is no worry about hitting the ‘Go' button in error. (Designers using the full iRFR application can disable playback for protection.)
The active cue number, label and fade progression lets users follow the fade in real time. Three pending and three completed cues on each side of the active cue are displayed as well.
Cue list paging is also available, with a single touch required to return to monitoring the active cue. Simple navigation is provided to view the detail of multiple cue lists. Similar to the iRFR application, console connection profiles can be stored for fast and easy connection to different systems.
When using the iRFR Preview application on an iPad, simply touching the cue opens a note editor. The notes are aggregated in a separate viewing area, or they can be viewed in association in each cue at any time. They can also be copied to the clipboard for emailing or pasting into a word processor.
