TOKYO – MediaFace helped the owners of Ibaraki Wedding Hall set their services apart from competing wedding businesses with two Robe DigitalSpot 3000 DTs in each of the guesthouse-style venue's banqueting halls. The venue, which also features a chapel, garden and bridal dressing room and can handle two weddings run concurrently, is in a recently-opened complex operated by K.K. Felice in the Kanto commercial district, 60km north of Tokyo. As an indication of how competitive the business is, brides and grooms can choose among six other facilities hosting weddings within the same complex.
Yukio Aida led the MediaFace team, which installed the customized white DigitalSpot 3000 DTs. They are ceiling-mounted and can project onto any of the walls, tables and floor around the room.
Along with their capacity for bright projection and mixed media content, the LED module on the front allows the DigitalSpots to wash the entire room in a spectrum of different colors and moods.
Custom content, including video clips, still images and more – can be uploaded into the fixture heads as needed, joining the onboard library of images and effects. The units are controlled via a LightJockey PC-based system, which also controls other lighting in the rooms.
With the new hall already booked well into 2011, the owners are opening another wedding facility using the same lighting and projection system.
