Rose Brand's Eco-Liner fabric, which had been initially developed for recyclable graduation gowns, is now available for entertainment industry use. Eco-Liner fabric is made from Repreve yarn with 100 percent recycled content using pre-consumer polyester fiber waste and post-consumer plastics. It is topically treated to provide flame retardant characteristics without diminishing its recyclable properties. Every pound produced saves 50,000 BTUs of energy (the equivalent of 0.4 gallons of gasoline). Additionally, five other crude oil-dependent virgin polyester processes are eliminated. It is available in Graduation Black and Cream of the Crop White, in a 60-inch full roll or by the cut yard.
