Martin Maxxyz 2.60 Software Release

Share this Post:

Martin Professional’s software version 2.60 for the Maxxyz family of lighting controllers includes Mark Cues (Move-in-Black), new effect generator macros, new grouping functions, new playback behaviors, complete Maxxyz Modules support, and those using a Martin Universal DMX box will find that Maxxyz PC will now generate up to two DMX universes without the need for a Maxxyz Dongle. Mark Cues (Move-in-Black)
With Maxxyz 2.60, a single cue or the entire cuelist can be set as Mark Cue. Mark Cue, also known as Move-in-Black, simplifies the programming workflow by suppressing the need to program standby cues. A cue or an entire cuelist can be “Mark Cued” by a single click of a button.

New Effect Generator Macros
Similar to presets, new Effect macros provide quick access to complex effects using one or several parameters combined together. The library comes with dozens of pre-programmed effects such as Tilt/Dimmer fall or CMY/RGB color rainbow, Iris Chases, etc. Users can add their own macros to the library and save them as part of their user settings for re-use on other shows.

New Grouping Functions
The Maxxyz grouping/masking feature is now more powerful. In version 2.60, a series of new commands have been added via a newly designed user interface to make matrix style selection and application of time or effect delays easier.

New Playback Behaviors
Responding to user requests, more cuelist playback options have been added. In version 2.60 every button of a playback can be assigned to one of the numerous functions available — no fewer than 12 choices for each button.

Maxxyz Modules Support
Several new functions have been added to complement Martin’s five newly released Maxxyz Modules. All Modules are now fully supported.

Maxxyz PC: Up to Two Universes for Free
Using a Martin Universal DMX box, Maxxyz PC will now generate up to two DMX universes without the need for a Maxxyz Dongle. This makes the controller usable for smaller events, or for users to simply try it out for themselves. Any Martin LightJockey Universal USB/DMX interface will also work.

Several other changes are also part of this latest software version, according to Martin. The complete list of changes can be viewed in the software release notes. Maxxyz users can download the new software from the Maxxyz support site at www.martin.com/maxxyz/support.asp
