To assist RDM developers in implementing the RDM physical layer, Goddard Design has introduced the Transceiver Qualification Test Set. It consists of three PC boards that implement all the tests of Appendix F of the RDM standard. The test set has two “device under test” cards and a main power supply and reference load card. The reference card provides the appropriate resistive loads, bias voltages and adjustable common mode voltage. One of the DUT cards has the reference design biasing network implemented. The other DUT card is provided with the biasing network open. Three universal switching power supplies are included. The cost is $345.
