Tomcat is introducing a new line of truss called Core. Its initially launch consists of 12-inch-by-12-inch, 12-inch-by-18-inch and 20.5-inch-by-20.5-inch box truss that is 24 percent stronger, slightly lighter and less expensive.
The Core 12 weighs 60 pounds per 10-foot section with a maximum capacity of 1040 pounds of UDL over a 40-foot span (a 200-pound increase over conventional light duty). The retail price is $390 per 10-foot section. Other sizes and accessories are being developed to complete the Core product range and are expected to be available by June 2009. Tomcat truss products meet the ANSI E1.2-2006 standard.
