LOS ANGELES — Blaine Engle has joined Elation Professional/Acclaim Lighting as national sales manager for the specifications market, a new position. Engle’s primary focus will be on Elation/Acclaim LED architectural series products and Elation’s Impression series of LED automated moving heads. A three-decade lighting industry veteran, Engle will oversee all U.S.-based Elation and Acclaim activities in selling to the specifications market. “I am excited to be part of the Elation/Acclaim team,” Engle said. “I have known most of the principals of the company for over half of my 29 years in the professional lighting business, and I am very happy to have this opportunity to work with them in my new role on a daily basis.”
Eric Loader, national sales director, said demand for the company’s products created the need for the new position, and added that Engle’s experience made him a good candidate to fill it. Engle, he said, “brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company, which will help our sales rep and dealer network expand their business.”
Engle said one of his goals was to help customers through what is often an educational process. “Considering the wide array of Elation/Acclaim products available for LED lighting solutions, this continuing effort toward education is important to the customer seeking specific lighting requirements, as well as on the larger, industry-wide scale of presenting information to the general solid-state lighting marketplace,” he said.
