LAS VEGAS — Christie introduced two projectors at the NAB conference, the Christie LX400, a XGA 4000 ANSI lumens projector, and the Christie LW650, a WXGA, single-lamp 3LCD projector. The Christie LX400 is a native XGA companion to the Christie LW400, the company’s popular WXGA 4000 ANSI lumen projector, offered at a lower price point. With native XGA resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the Christie LX400 is suited to boardrooms, small auditoriums, conference rooms, classrooms, houses of worship and entertainment venues. The projector is designed to be compact, lightweight (15.8 lbs/7.2 kg) and durable, and it’s sold with an integrated carrying handle and a cabinet for transport.
Key features include auto keystone for easy set-up, a customizable start-up screen, Kensington style slot and security bar anti-theft devices. With scaling for up to UXGA and HD formats up to 1080p, the Christie LX400 supports compatibility with most computers and video sources. It has four built-in 4-watt speakers with SRS WOW audio enhancement technology.
The LX400 ships with a standard zoom lens—1.5-1.8:1—and features manual zoom, focus, and horizontal and vertical lens shift. A suite of four optional fixed and zoom lenses, ranging from 0.8:1 to the ultra-long 7.3:1 zoom, are also available to fit a variety of applications and room sizes. The new projector also supports Closed Captioning video (NTSC) display. A built-in RJ-45 LAN connection offers network control, SNMP monitoring and programmable email product status alerts.
The Christie LW650 is a WXGA (1366 x 800 resolution), single-lamp 3LCD projector that provides a wide screen format with 6500 ANSI lumens and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. It features 10-bit image processing, a whisper mode for quieter meetings and up to six optional lenses including an ultra short throw.
The unit’s lens can also shift the image vertically by 85 percent of the screen’s height and horizontally by 60 percent of the screen’s width, covering a total range of up to 3.3 screen areas vertically and up to 2.2 screen areas horizontally. In addition, a Picture-by-Picture split screen mode allows the user to display multiple images, video or data simultaneously using the wide aspect display format.
The Christie LW650 also has a complete connectivity package for computer, video, and digital connections via HDMI.
