Look Solutions added the Viper S to its line of fog machines, complementing the Viper NT and the Viper 2.6. Its compact size and low power consumption makes it suited for use in applications that previously required battery-powered machines. The Viper S has the features of the Viper NT in a unit half the size and wattage and 60 percent of the weight. The fog output is also less than what the NT can produce, but Look Solutions says it is still enough to satisfy most theatrical requirements.
The unit comes standard with DMX, analog and stand-alone controls, a programmable digital timer and a profile timer, which lets users fog for a specified amount of time and then stop. Like other Viper models, the S has a sensor that will turn the pump off if the machine runs out of fluid.
The unit’s MSRP is $1,040.
