Chaos Helped Inaugural Ball Go Smoothly

WASHINGTON, DC — With hopes that the only chaos present at one of the main inaugural balls for president Barack Obama would be its own company name, Chaos Visual Productions launched its business with an auspicious first gig — The Neighborhood Ball, An Inaugural Celebration. Chaos worked with RK Productions, LD Bobby Dickinson and production designer Bruce Rodgers/Tribe Inc. The Neighborhood Ball, staged at the Washington Convention Center on Jan. 20 and televised on ABC, required seven LED screens, including three Winvision 18.75, 1 Mitrix,  2 Barco I-10s and 1 Barco I-6.  Additionally, Element Labs Stealth were used to create 12 “icicle”-style set pieces.  The screens projected live camera, video and satellite feeds from around the world.

“We were thrilled to be entrusted with the visual delivery for Bruce on this unprecedented, historical event,” said John Wiseman, president of Chaos Visual Productions. “We could have never pulled it off on such short notice without our remarkable crew and extraordinary project management by Barry Claxton and Val Dauksts.”

The crew from Chaos included Barry Claxton, LED project coordinator; Scott Thompson, LED crew chief; and LED technicians Patrick Dolan, George Keim, Dustin King, Rod Silhanek and Krissy Sulem.
