LOS ANGELES—Chaos Visual Productions, formed in Dec 2008 by John J. Wiseman, Chris Kaman and Chuck Burtzloff, has announced its acquisition of 100 percent of CW Productions (CWP). CWP was founded in 1989 by Chris and Sheila Wickman as a show production rental house, and now handles specialty lighting, video, projection, and show programming. CWP is led by Marty Wickman and Fred Waldman, who will remain in place running the day-to-day of CWP. Chaos Visual will run operations out of the same physical plant and add further visual production to the CWP roster of services. The two (CWP and Chaos Visual) will merge over the next 12 months.
“CWP is a great company ready to grow to the next level and our intent is to enhance and empower their management,” said Wiseman. “Chaos will bring skills and finance that will free up Marty and Fred to do what they do best, which is customer service with a unique ability to deliver the designers vision within a budget.”
CWP’s recent projects include video effects for Tom Petty and Heaven & Hell featuring Ronnie James Dio in the touring segment. CWP also provided specialty lighting for Disneyland’s Fantasma, LED special effects for the L.A. Opera and effects lighting for feature films, including Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Eagle Eye and Land of the Lost.
“We are overwhelmed with the positive response to our new venture and being able to add CWP, and more importantly Marty and Fred to the team, contributes serious depth to what we will be able to accomplish for our customers,” Wiseman said.
