BURBANK, Calif. — ARRI named Glenn Kennel to the newly created position of chief technology officer. Kennel will work from the Burbank office with responsibilities that include overseeing digital intermediate, digital camera technologies and supporting workflows. “At a time when production and post are tied together in a continuous workflow and film and digital imaging are merging into a single process, Glenn brings to ARRI a wealth of experience in these critically important areas,” said Volker Bahnemann, CEO of ARRI Inc.
Kennel started his professional career at Eastman Kodak in 1980 and has held a wide range of positions starting in the traditional chemical film processes and progressing through all phases of the digital intermediate and digital cinema development. He later served as director of technology and business development at Texas Instruments, DLP Cinema and most recently, vice president/general manager, feature film at LaserPacific.
