BERLIN—Qi – eine Palast Phantasie, also called Kie, is a stage show at the Friedrichstadtpalast Theatre, one of the world’s largest theatrical stages, with dance, ballet, music and 100 costumed performers. The lighting rig used by Olaf Eichler and his crew included Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 300s. “All the technicians working on the project were enthusiastic about the new Alpha Spot HPE 300 from the very beginning,” said lighting designer Andreas Stübler. The Clay Paky HPEs and other projectors on stage were controlled by three full-size grandMAs, one light grandMA, seven MA NSPs, two MA 2Port Nodes onPC and five MA Digital Dimmers 12 x 2.3kVA.
Eichler and Andreas Stübler shared the role of light designer. Andreas Stübler also created the LED light design. Birger Krause, Tom Mommert and Martin Wagner programmed the grandMAs. Martin Wagner was also video and LED operator. Heinz-Jürgen Lokys, the audio video technical engineer, provided the lighting rig.
