NASHVILLE — Bandit Lites has named Shawn Lear, left, project manager at the company’s Nashville location and James Prince, right, as electronics technician at the company’s facility in the U.K. Lear’s responsibilities include organizing and supporting clients’ lighting systems for touring and TV production. Prince’s responsibilities include repairing, servicing and maintaining Bandit’s moving lights inventory. Lear, from Pembroke Pines, Fla., got his start in Branson, Mo., worked for a local lighting company and later got involved in lighting corporate meetings, the Radio City Rockettes and acrobats from China. He also project-managed a variety of events.
When asked how he was adjusting to his new role, Lear commented, “I’m excited to be a member of the Bandit team. Welcome to the Big Leagues! Batter Up!”
Prince was born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. After completing college in sound engineering, he joined the British Army and served with the Royal Corps of Signals as a radio technician. After leaving the army, Prince joined the Bedford Corn Exchange as an in-house technician, providing lighting, sound and A/V solutions for professional and amateur shows, corporate functions and private receptions. Before joining Bandit Lites, Prince was a freelance lighting technician for Disney in Virginia, working in their dry dock program.
“With the recent move to the new premises and a fresh start of the new year, I’m really looking forward to a bright future with Bandit Lites,” Prince said.
