LOS ANGELES — The fourth annual Stage Lighting Super Saturday all-day training seminar is set for Feb. 7, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Presented by Sonny Sonnenfeld and Scott C. Parker, the seminar will take place at the West Adams Preparatory High School in Los Angeles, with a training sessions led by stage lighting professionals covering basic and advanced topics. The seminar program, held last year in New York, is expecting a strong turnout in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Unified School District plans to send 70 theatre teachers to the event as part of its year-long technical theatre professional development training program for public-school theatre teachers.
Over 20 manufacturers are also expected to participate, including Apollo Design Technology, City Theatrical, Inc., Dove, Enttec, Field Template, GAM Products, High End Systems, Inc., the Johnny Carson School, LEE Filters USA, Martin Professional, Inc., VectorWorks, Ocean Optics, Polaris, Robe, Rosco, Selecon, Strand Lighting, Strong Entertainment Lighting, Times Square Lighting, Wybron, Inc. and more.
