Hey again, well this weeks is going to be brief because I have not a thing to write about. Currently my work has been put to a stand still because of the winter, recession, etc. Who knows what is to blame. All I can say is that I am not able to do what I love and that is lighting.
My ambitions haven't worked out quite the way I wanted this year. There have been great strides getting ahold of big festivals like Bonnaroo or touring in arenas and amphitheaters throughout the summer. Right after the last show ended in early October nothing has been around. Even good friends in the industry have given me some points in a general direction and still nothing. It's hard for me to be enthusiastic toward other people and encourage them to do what they love especially when what I love isn't treating me the best. I have even contemplated getting an audio editing job with a local radio station. SACRILEGE!!! In my mind that will only yank me further away from lighting because obviously it will probably be a full time studio job. Who knows what the future holds for me. I'll just keep my chin up and push on… But to where??? Wah wah I know… I'll post the Jerry McGuire mission statement next week. "Who's comin' with me"?
