VAN NUYS, CA — The Joint Training Initiative of The ESTA Foundation and USITT have set Feb. 17 and 18 as the dates for training sessions on High End Systems’ Wholehog 3 console. The sessions will take place at the facility maintained here by High End Systems and the Media and Entertainment Division of Barco Lighting Systems, Inc. This two-day course, available only to entertainment technicians and console programmers who are ESTA and USITT members, is geared at a basic to intermediate level. Cat West, training specialist for High End Systems, will conduct the course.
Although Wholehog experience is not necessary, attendees should have prior experience with automated luminaires and a general familiarity with lighting consoles. In addition, they should have working knowledge of the DMX 512 communication protocol, fixture addressing and patching.
