HUNTSVILLE, AL — Pete Malvizzi, Theatrical Lighting Systems Inc.(TLS Inc.) employee and lighting crew chief for women of faith, died Nov. 4 after several weeks of illness. Malvizzi worked with the company on the For Him and Point of Grace tours.
Pete was an "all around talent" able to rig, tech, program and do set carp duties. Pete will be missed greatly by those who knew him and all those whose lives he touched.
The excerpt below is from a letter from Scott Moore officially informing the company of Malvizzi’s passing.
“. . . Pete never did anything half way. If he was going to do something, he would do it to the full extent. He was diligent and detailed in everything he did. He loved everything about live production in general and lighting in particular. He was an in demand mechanic and worked on high performance dragster teams in his spare time. He was also a very gifted pool player.
Over the course of Pete's life, he touched a great many people. I am thrilled that for the better part of the last fourteen years, he has worked predominately on Christian projects. Through those tours and events, a great number of lives have been changed and Pete got to be a part of that. So, while God chose to heal Pete time and time again in this life, He has now healed Pete in the next. I have no doubt that there will be many there to greet him that will be able to say that they came to know Christ at an event of which Pete was an integral part. They will now have the chance to thank him for the role he was willing to play in their meeting of their savior. I am so pleased to have had Pete as a colleague and, more importantly, as a friend. I will miss him greatly.”
