Speaking of contact phone numbers, it is always a good idea to know who you can call if you get into trouble. You should know the names and numbers of important people within the organization responsible for your production. It might also be helpful to have a contact at the lighting rental company, as well as the manufacturers of the various equipment. At the very least, you should know the support phone numbers and e-mail address for the major lighting console and fixture manufacturers. Then, if something goes wrong, you are ready to respond and make any needed calls without spending valuable time deciding who to call.
