One of the greatest little-known facts about console demonstrations at a tradeshow is that the people working the kiosks are often the software developers. Most manufacturers unchain the developers from their cubes and allow them to meet the users at tradeshows. This provides valuable feedback for the developers, and also offers you the opportunity to meet the brains behind the consoles. Once you understand who is demonstrating the console, then you can begin to ask important questions and request additional information. Very rarely do I see sales people working the demonstrations at tradeshows, and that is a very good thing.
